Barry Horne born in Northhampton in 1952 was one of the biggest animal liberation activist who died in a UK prison hospital on November of 2001. Before he start been and activist person he was a simply sweeper in the streets where he live. He was divorced.
He fought for the animal rights and against the vivisection attacking laboratories where animal experimentation took place. But is important to say that the attacks were when the laboratories were without people and animals.
His first attack was when he try to rescue a dolphins called “rocky” that was in a small pool in Marineland in Morecambe.
After that first attack he destroy and burn laboratiories like Boots the Chemists in Newport in the Wight Island (a company that test products with animals) that caused economic damage estimated at 3 million pounds in 1994. He was sentenced to 18 years in prison for that attack and several criminals damages and attcks mainly against others companies involved in vivisection.
In prison he went on hunger strike several times in protest against government support for the vivisection industry. The third of these hunger strikes lasted 68 days, and Barry never fully recovered. And after that finally hunger strike he died in the hospitaly.

ResponderEliminarHow we could advance the experimentation if we do not test, unfortunately the law prohibits human experimentation so the effects of many chemicals or studies that saved millions of lives should be tested first on animals.

Barry Horne is one of my heroes because I really don’t like animals testing and I fight for the animals rights SP to. No matters the consequents he fought until he died and for me that is and example of life
